Winter holidays in St.Anton am Arlberg

Arlberg is known as the birthplace of Alpine skiing - and has been at its apex since then. The first ski school was founded in 1901 and the world championship held in St. Anton in 2001 made a huge impression among the sporting class with the merits of the venue itself.

For a long time Arlberg has been a synonym for winter adventure, the “bench mark” - a market leader, from which everyone can learn and absorb something... It certainly cannot be easily copied: how could it be, with its peaks, hillsides and crests?

There is a greater certainty of snow at this height than elsewhere, although the the latest snow machines are also available. There are 460 kilometres of ski runs to suit all sizes, from small to X-large, family ski runs and black slopes, the Kandahar route and insiders’ tips...

Children’s ski slopes with specially trained ski instructors? Definitely! Carving areas? Of course! Snowboard fun park? Yup; with pro-jumps, washboard, table-top and more of the “funny stuff”!

And high-tech reaches its apex here: the Arlberg Card for non-contact cable car access sets the standards, about which the Galzig railway provokes gushing comments and amazement... A propos the gushing comments: at the après-ski in Arlberg, you’ll be guaranteed lots of fun, traditional or casual, but 100% cool at any rate.
